He couldn’t handle that at all, the screeches and shudders chilled the ill strategist to the core, for once helpless without any way to fully get the right answer to save him. It really didn’t sit well to not do anything, and the short statured man sneaked right into the room, watching the convulsions in disbelief.
The bandages were off… Oh no… That is not going to be good for me!
But the weapon tapped the wall as he turned to the door to leave.
He could not utter comprehensible words in his conditions right now. His heart rate quickened, faster than how it felt to be running through the battlefield. He had not even noticed the sickly strategist enter the room, but in the depths of his screams and cries, he heard the sound of dimming footsteps.
He threw himself to the edge the bedding he slept upon, human concoction hurled onto the floor. His entire body shook until all of the wretched mess had been on the floor. When it was over, he finally heaved a big sigh, shifting to have his head on the pillow.
It’s okay… It’s okay… It’s over now… It’s okay… were the words he muttered to himself.
Hanbei did not rest that well since the recent find of the beast, the accusations and the lie worked to their favor, no one suspected Lu Xun for a moment, under his evasive maneuvers. With that and the present threat that could come if Boyan found out what kind of knot he used, it was hard to sleep.
And sleep was a need for the ill man, yet he didn’t do it.
That was when the hiss came from the room Boyan was held within, the rustling made him frantic and enter inside with his bladed sundial, “Lu Xun? You alright in there?!”
He had been grateful for the chance to hide away from civilization, and the chance to walk into it without lashing out. The duration of the curse pulling from his body caused unbearable pain. He had tossed and turned at the start of his final obstacle, causing the blindfold to slip off his head.
There were a few times where he had nearly vomited, the churning in his stomach not helping at all. It boiled and bubbled with rage, spinning even if he himself was not moving. When the pain had dimmed down, he heaved a sigh, but shrieked when it had returned. More inhuman sounds escaped him, tears finding their way to the corner of his eyes.
It seemed that the demon reigning over his body had became bored of what the strategist was capable of. As the youth rested in peaceful slumber, his mind experienced an oddly tranquil process. The burden placed on his limbs gradually dissipated.
But it wasn’t without the effects of liberating oneself from possession.
The sudden pain shot him awake, now dilated chestnut optics staring at particularly nothing, his body moving constantly to try to fend off what was harming him. Soon, his eyes were squinted and a hand had quickly grasped his stomach, the other tightly gripping on the sheets. This excruciating pain was nothing like he had experienced before. The beast from earlier months has disappeared without any trace, but this time, it would not leave him peace. Out of clenched teeth, he hissed and scowled.
Hadn’t the beast had enough with him?
The child dashed faster, laughing merrily as she would dart in and out of the brush, her Dollie was also at her side, bobbing from the sash she wore. This was fun! Just like hide-and-seek, which she was very good at. Oh, how Weifeng would still be oblivious as to how deadly this game would be, but she didn’t even notice… So enthralled by the small game of theirs.
The little girl tripped on a root though, flopping on the ground with a thump. But, she got up and ran some more.
Claws digging into the depths of the soil that fertilized this grand area of jade, a grunt was forced through canine teeth. That damned shrill that echoed through the trees burned his ears. Fair enough. He would bring that to an end soon. He could just imagine her screams and pleas for help. He would silence her just as quick as he had for the other various animals of the forest. If no one cared enough to notice she had been gone, why would they care now?
Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t. :^)

Well well, wasn’t this a sight to see for the promiscuous woman. On a branch of a tree sat her figure, one leg crossed over the other. Her fingers drummed lightly on her thigh. Watchful eyes scanned the battle waging on in the distance. Some used their melee weapons, others used bow and arrows…. but what had made her laugh was how some would actually use their fists to fight. Such barbaric people… have they no nobility or dignity?
Still, she continued to observe on, a hum passing through coral lips.
“Oooh… that one’s quite the attractive man… Oh, I think he’s dead now. What a shame…”
